Planning the transition to one's Third Age is important work. Our proprietary Coaching for Third Age Fulfillment™ program was developed around the findings of Dr. William Sadler's multiyear study of the challenges and opportunities of aging as published in his book The Third Age, Six Principles for Growth and Renewal after 40.
Our program uses challenging exercises, proven analytical and experiential techniques, and creative implementation tools developed or studied by our founders and associates. Using a rational, step-by-step framework coupled with the ongoing support and encouragement of our trained and licensed Third Age Coaches, our approach helps our clients make the powerful decisions that lead them successfully to rich and rewarding Third Age roles and identities.

What is Third Age fulfillment and how does it become important from a coaching perspective? Those are the questions that I was attempting to answer when I signed up for a virtual class with seven other “Third Age” coaches and two facilitators from The Center for Third Age Leadership. Read more...
CTAL’s Third Age Coaching options will provide the level of support that’s best for you as you explore new possibilities.
If One-to-One Coaching support is the right path for you, our coaches can help you clarify your unique Third Age needs and desires, achieve your most important objectives, and make your journey more rewarding.
Some people prefer group interaction. If that describes you, Small Group Coaching may work best for your needs. As part of a coaching group, you and 3-5 others will meet weekly by phone with your coach. Your coach will get to know each of the group members and their individual Third Age visions and action plans. With assistance from the coach, groups will discuss individual progress and challenges and share insights.
Comments from a satisfied participant:
“A few months back as I thought about retirement, I was anxious about my future after leaving the life I had known for the last thirty-eight years. I feared I would miss the day-to-day “rewards” I received from my work-related achievements. But, I thought I was ready and I was just going to take the leap, even though I lacked a specific vision or plan for how I would replace those feelings of success.
Then I began the “Coaching for Third Age Fulfillment” program. Working with my coach through the program’s exercises and questions, I was challenged to give serious thought to what was important and necessary for me in this next stage of life. The experience of this program has been insightful. Now I have a renewed sense of the possibilities for my life going forward. The coaching sessions and exercises helped me to recognize and better understand that the many and varied concerns I had were not abnormal. Then we went about the business of redefining my third-age image--an optimistic image filled with possibilities and fulfillment.
I now love the feeling I get when I think about retiring. I look forward to moving into the exciting images I have created for what is surely yet to be the best of my life.”
